Let's build a community of makers who learn, share ideas, and inspire one another through the art of handmade books. Registration is required. Interested in book arts but don't know where to start? Don't be shy - register below to be a part of beginners group. The full schedule for this beginner group is as follows: February 5 March 5 April 9 May 7 June 4 July 2 July 30 August 27 September 24 October 22 November 19 December 17 Stuart Hill is the founder of George Hill & Co. , an establishment devoted to the craft of bookbinding. Years ago, Stuart stubbled across bookbinding as a hobby interest which soon turned into a serious pursuit. With a background in engineering and architectural design, Stuart soon discovered that the book is a technical structure where everything is done for a reason. His greatest enjoyment is the research and discovery of new book formats which may require dissection, recreation, and of course much practise. Stuart is always ready to share his discoveries through workshops and direct inquires. It is a significant role for him to pass along his knowledge so that he contributes to the survival of ancient crafts.
