Book Arts Circle - Beginners @ Main

This Book Arts Circle (Drop-in) provides a relaxed, creative space to explore bookmaking at your own pace. Stuart Hill will be on-hand at each session to offer guidance, answer questions, and maybe even introduce new book projects! Let's build a community of makers who learn, share ideas, and inspire one another through the art of handmade books. Registration is required. Interested in book arts but don't know where to start? Don't be shy - register below to be a part of beginners group. Years ago, Stuart stubbled across bookbinding as a hobby interest which soon turned into a serious pursuit. With a background in engineering and architectural design, Stuart soon discovered that the book is a technical structure where everything is done for a reason. His greatest enjoyment is the research and discovery of new book formats which may require dissection, recreation, and of course much practise. Stuart is always ready to share his discoveries through workshops and direct inquires. It is a significant role for him to pass along his knowledge so that he contributes to the survival of ancient crafts.
